Tour Itinerary: 6 Nights & 7 Days

Day 1 :: Colombo (Pinnewala & Kandy)

Arrive in Colombo and proceed for Kandy .En route visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela which is a home for about 60 elephants out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authority. Clients will have the opportunity of seeing these ‘babies’ are bottle-fed if visited on time.

Reach Kandy and do the check in procedure and take rest. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth relic of the Buddha is the most important temple for the Sri Lankan Buddhists and was built in the 16th Century A.D. by king Wimaladharma sooriya, solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. and thereafter witness a cultural show displaying traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Over night stay in Kandy.



Day 2 :: Kandy (City Tour & Nuwara Eliya)

Breakfast at Hotel in Kandy. Proceed for tour of Spice Garden in Hingula (Kandyan Spice 99). Located on the main road between Colombo and the hill capital of Kandy. Visit a spice garden Hingula in Mawanella to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. Visit Lankathilaka Viharaya. Kandy has an exclusive architectural design. Lankathilaka Viharaya is very much different from the other buildings of its era. As a result it attracts a number of tourists from different corners of the world. Kandy city tour and shopping.

Adjoining the Temple of Tooth Relic you will find the Kandy Lake which brings the beauty to this hill capital. Take a boat ride on this picturesque small lake ( Optional ). You can find plenty of boutiques selling handicrafts, antiques, batiks and gems. You will also visit a silk factory and a gem Museum.



Day 3 :: Kandy / Nuwara Eliya (77Kms/2 Hours aprx.)

Breakfast at Hotel in Kandy & leave for Nuwara Eliya via Peradeniya( Optional ). Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya.This was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century and later made in to a Botanical Garden during the British regime. Leave for Nuwara Eliya via Labookelle & Ramboda .Gliding swiftly down mountain slopes, thick forests and valleys of Tea Estates, small convergent brooks in the central highlands gives birth to some of Sri Lanka’s most magnificent waterfalls, one of which is the “Rambo da Waterfalls” in Nuwara Eliya. Cascading down at an altitude of 3200ft. the Ramboda Falls brings pride and glory to this beautiful island making Sri Lanka a popular tourist destination for both the romantic escapee & nature lover. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya. Do the check in procedures and take rest. Over night stay in Nuwara Eliya.



Day 4 :: Nuwara Eliya / Bentota (249kms/6 Hours aprx.)

Breakfast at Hotel, Nuwara Eliya and leave for Bentota. Horton Plains (World's End).This is a National Park and is the highest plateau in the Island consisting of grassland interspersed with patches of forest with some unusual high altitude vegetation.

World's End" is another popular site in Nuwara Eliya. It is a terrifying precipice that drops vertically for about 1,000 feet (328 meters) and falls away almost as steeply for another 4,000 feet (1,312 meters). Arrive in Bentota.



Day 5 :: Bentota

Breakfast at Hotel, Bentota and leave for Galle via Hikkaduwa.
Turtle Hatchery Kosgoda Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubate by the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas where the Birds don’t have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let in to the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival.

Hikkaduwa A popular tourist destination in the Galle District t is renowned for its beach and the corals. The Coral Garden here is considered to be the best out of all such coral gardens found in Asia. There is a reef of lime stones running parallel to the coast. The corals are in between this line of lime stones and the coast. The sea up to about 200 m from the coast is very shallow. The reef of lime stones protects the corals from high tide.
Return to Bentota. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bentota.



Day 6 :: Colombo ( City Tour )

Breakfast at Hotel, Bentota and leave for Colombo.
Colombo City Tour Drive through the commercial and city centre area known as the Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Visit the busy markets and bazaars of Pettah, visit a Buddhist and a Hindu temple, an Old Dutch church and continue to the Cinnamon Gardens residential area. Drive past the Town Hall, Independence Square and the B.M.I.C.H (International Convention Centre).
Shopping (upon interest)



Day 7 :: Colombo (Back to Home)

Breakfast at Hotel, Bentota and leave for Colombo.
Breakfast at Hotel in Colombo. Do last Minute shopping or relax in Hotel.According to your flight times leave for Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for Departure
